The Straterra website was built for an organisation with a focus on media coverage and advocacy. We believe it provides a new model for similar organisations.

Straterra

Straterra is a membership oranisation with a role to advocate for the development of New Zealand’s mineral resource potential. It fulfills that role by encompassing and representing the interests of every part of the mineral sector including metals, aggregates, coal and petroleum.

FRESCO worked closely with the client and the Ideas Shop (PR advisors) to develop a scope of work for the website. The FRESCO solution for Straterra was firmly based on a need for efficient self management of all content (using FlightDeck) and the presentation of opinions, news items and media releases. This is achieved with obvious presentation on all pages, through quick links, of three key sections of the site – media releases, in the news, and perspectives. Homepage content then selectively takes content from any of these areas and presents it so that the site always appears to be fresh and current.

The Straterra website is very efficient and simple, for both users and the site administrator. The graphic design was developed to powerfully assist the corporate identity but also ensure that navigation of the site was easy and intuitive for all users.
